November 12-14, 2021, CEH celebrated the formal installation of our spiritual leader, Natan Freller. Rav Natan has been with us since summer 2020, but COVID restrictions postponed the installation. The weekend began with a musical Kabbalat Shabbat led by Rav Natan, Rabbi Adam Kligfeld, Rabbi Rachel Schmelkin, Nick May, and Will Rivlin. On Shabbat morning, congregants participated in the service by chanting Torah and leading prayers. Many of Rav Natan’s friends and colleagues also shared blessings with him during the service. Rabbi Kligfeld spoke eloquently about the parsha and conducted the formal installation ceremony.

Saturday evening we shared a festive champagne Havdalah outdoors. The weekend culminated with donuts and hot cocoa on Sunday morning followed by a chilly bike ride. It was wonderful to celebrate with Rav Natan, his family and friends, and the CEH community.
