Great-Grandma’s Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
- 2 c. stewed pumpkin
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- melted butter “the size of an egg” (I use 1 tbsp.)
Directions
- Mix ingredients, pour into 9″ pastry shell, cover edge of pastry with foil.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until knife inserted near edge comes out clean.
