Great-Grandma’s Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 c. stewed pumpkin
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • melted butter “the size of an egg” (I use 1 tbsp.)

Directions

  • Mix ingredients, pour into 9″ pastry shell, cover edge of pastry with foil.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until knife inserted near edge comes out clean.
