Message from CEH President

I’ve got a lot to be thankful for.

I know this may seem like an odd thing to say after all we’ve been through this year, but I’ve always been a glass-half-full kind of person.

With two successful vaccines on the horizon, it appears that the end is in sight for the scourge of COVID. It will still be a few months, but it won’t be forever. And even before then, we managed to have a socially-distanced, outdoor, but in-person Friday evening service shared over Zoom.

We found a new Rabbi despite the challenges presented by COVID.

We managed to keep our services and religious school going over Zoom.

We are engaged in a process of change and transformation for our governance.

And I’m thankful for my Etz Hayim family.

Please stay safe over the holiday weekend, and since it’s coming up before the next Chronicle: Chag Chanukah Sameach.

And as always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to write me – president@etzhayim.net
