Laura Naide Has Earned Her Conservative Jewish Educator Certification

Three dedicated Jewish Educators will receive their certification of Conservative Jewish Educator (CJE) from the Jewish Educators Assembly (JEA) at the annual conference to be held in January, 2022. We are incredibly proud of Laura Naide (VA), Elizabeth Singer (FL), and Rabbi Matthew Nover (NJ) for their ongoing dedication to Jewish education on the national level as well as in their own communities.

The Conservative Jewish Educator credential was introduced to recognize select educators for attaining a standard of achievement in the field of Conservative Jewish education. The goal of this certification is to recognize those elite educators who have achieved the highest professional standards of our organization and profession, as a mark of honor, and to encourage ongoing professional development among our colleagues. Individuals must have advanced formal education, at least five years of administrative experience, a demonstrated commitment to Conservative Jewish education, contributions to the field such as curriculum or program development, projects; and/or continued academic learning.

The Jewish Educators Assembly’s mission is to promote excellence among educators committed to Conservative Jewish education by advancing professionalism, encouraging leadership, pursuing lifelong learning and building community. We aim to serve educators in their efforts to strengthen the Conservative Movement and inspire greater Jewish learning. To be the leading advocate for the welfare of the Jewish educator and for best practices in Jewish education. We value spirited and honest intellectual exploration of sacred texts, fluency in Hebrew, joyful participation in Jewish holidays and rituals, a deep commitment to Israel and the Jewish people, egalitarian practice, academic excellence, innovation, collaboration, professionalism, lifelong learning, and integrity.
