Youth Services & Programming

This year we are offering multiple educational activities and services for our kids and teens. We believe that they deserve a service crafted to their age and diverse programming to include everyone, teaching our values and holiday traditions. Parents are welcome to join their children for the services listed below. Each holiday will have its own special theme that will guide the experience.
Rosh Hashanah I: Saturday, September 16th
Rosh Hashanah II: Sunday, September 17th
Yom Kippur: Monday, September 25th

All kids are welcome to join us from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The times listed below are the time when youth services will start.
Before and after services, multiple educational activities will take place.

Mini-Minyan: 18 Months – 2nd Grade – 10:00 AM
Sing-Along and Snack – 10:45 AM
Minyan Tzair (Youth Minyan): 3rd – B-Mitzvah – 11:15 AM

We’re excited to offer an innovative, family-friendly, outdoor Tashlich service that will be held streamside. This program is great for families with kids and those who are looking for a unique New Year’s service.

Tashlich is an experience unique to this time of the year, when we ritually let go of things we don’t want to carry with us into the next year. This service will be filled with songs and opportunities for meditation, reflection and singing.

Tashlich will be on Sunday, September 17th at 5:30 PM at the Alcova Heights Park located at 901 S. George Mason Drive in Arlington. Please note that Tashlich is on Sunday, the second day of Rosh Hashanah, as it can not be held on Shabbat.  This is also a different location than last year.
