On Sunday, October 17, we had a wonderful Adult Education event. David Kuney, author of “On Rockingham Street: Reclaiming My Family’s Jewish Identity,” spoke about growing up in Arlington and attending Religious School at CEH. He was joined by Jerry Jacobs, who shared his own CEH memories.
Mr. Kuney’s book is a memoir and an insightful commentary on how Jewish life has changed over time in Arlington and the broader community. During the presentation, he shared his concerns about the continuity of Jewish life and cited statistics from the most recent Pew report in which many respondents rated religion as a low priority. His presentation led to a lively question and answer session. Over 25 people participated in the event.
If you didn’t attend on Sunday, you can watch the presentation HERE.
